Women in the Fire Service UK (WFS) is a national, not-for-profit organisation led by and for people working across the fire and rescue sector – from frontline firefighters to support staff, officers, and control teams. Since the 1990s, we've been a driving force for equality and representation, offering training, events and resources that help women thrive and progress at every stage of their career.
The organisation is made up of individuals working in the FRS, who share a vision for the future, and are proactive in making that vision a reality.
We have a thorough understanding of the business of the Fire and Rescue Service. Our team has experience in many roles, at all levels, including experience in overcoming difficulties and barriers, challenging cultures, using proactive approaches to promoting diversity and leading positive change.
